Vujo Ilić

Vujo Ilic is a Research Fellow and Assistant Director at the Institute for Philosophy and Social Theory, University of Belgrade. He holds a PhD in Political Science from Central European University in Budapest, with a specialization in comparative politics. His research interests include democracy, elections and political participation, as well as political conflicts and violence, with a particular focus on Southeast Europe. At the Institute, he is involved in several research projects, including “Networking Networks for Democracy” (Nets4Dem) and “Reflective Trust” (EnTrust), funded by the European Commission under the Horizon Europe program. He is also a member of ActiveLab, a laboratory for active citizenship and democratic innovation. Vujo is frequently engaged as an expert on international projects and as a consultant for domestic and international organizations, primarily in developing public policies and designing empirical research, especially surveys. He has received several awards, including the Central European University Award for Best Doctoral Dissertation (2020) and the Nationalities Studies Association Award for Best Doctoral Thesis (2016).
