Predrag Cvetičanin

Director, Center for Empirical Cultural Studies of South-East Europe, and Professor, Faculty of Arts, University of Niš

Predrag Cvetičanin is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Arts, University of Niš, where he teaches the Sociology of Culture. He also serves as the Director of the independent research institute, Center for Empirical Studies of Southeast European Culture. He graduated in Sociology at the Faculty of Philosophy in Niš. He completed his Master’s studies at the Central European University (CEU) in Prague, the Department of Sociology at the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade, and the Department of Philosophy, Logic and Scientific Method at the London School of Economics (LSE), University of London. He holds a PhD in Sociology from the Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade. Predrag has coordinated more than twenty domestic and international research projects. He has authored and edited thirteen books and numerous articles related to class structure, fields of cultural production, cultural participation, informal practices, and symbolic struggles in South-East European societies.
