Francesco Ronchi

Francesco Ronchi is Administrator at the Directorate for Democracy Support of the European Parliament. Previously, he has been Deputy Chief of Staff in the office of the President of the Socialists and Democrats Group in the European Parliament. From 2011 to 2012 he served the United Nations as an electoral advisor in the Peace Building Mission for Ivory Coast. He is also an Adjunct Professor in International and Public Affairs at Columbia University in New York City. Since 2014 he has been Adjunct Professor at Sciences Po Paris – the Paris Institute of Political Studies. His latest book is “La Scomparsa dei Balcani” (Rubbettino, 2023), a monography focusing on democratic developments in the Western Balkans.
