Hrvoje Zovko

Hrvoje Zovko is a journalist currently writing for the daily newspaper Večernji list, its weekend editions and the weekly Express. He has been member of the Croatian Journalists’ Association since 1997 and its president since 2018. For 26 years he worked at the Croatian National Television (HRT) where he reported from Afghanistan (2004 and 2012), was correspondent for HRT from Serbia (2008-2010), desk editor in the news division (2014), editor of internal politics (2015 and 2016), reported on terrorist attacks in Manchester (2017) and was executive editor of the news channel HTV4 (2018). When he started working in journalism in 1995, he wrote for local daily newspapers Novi list and Glas Slavonije. From 2012 to 2018 he was president of Association of Croatian investigative journalists. He graduated from Faculty od Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, majoring in history and geography. In 2004 he completed the School of Documentary Film in Montpellier. He is author of several TV documentaries talking topics about the war in Croatia in the 1990s.
