Maja Sever

Maja Sever is a renowned Croatian journalist and television program editor. She studied at the Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb, majoring in journalism, while simultaneously working as a war reporter in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. She is the president of the Croatian Journalists’ Union and the European Journalist Foundation. She has built a thirty-year career at Croatian Radio and Television and is currently a contributor to the show “Nedeljom u 2” (“Sunday at 2”). In 2018, she received the Journalist of the Year award from the Croatian Journalists’ Association. Additionally, in 2019, she was awarded the “Pride of Croatia” for her humanitarian work as one of the founders of the initiative “People for People,” and in 2021, she received the “Fierce Women” award for her contributions to gender equality and social justice.
