Marko Milosavljević

Professor and Chair of the Communication Department at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana

Marko Milosavljevic is a full professor at the Department of Communication at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana. He is also a former vice-chair of the Committee of Experts on Media Environment and Reform (MSI-REF) at the Council of Europe, as well as a member of the Strategic Council for the Prevention of Hate Speech at the Government of the Republic of Slovenia (since 2023). Until 2022, he was the chair of the section on Communication Law and Policy of the European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA). He has also participated in the drafting of several laws as part of expert groups. He was a member of the expert group for the new Media Act (2009) and the Public Broadcasting Act (2009) at the Ministry of Culture of Slovenia, and a member of the Expert Group for the Media Act (2019).
